![]() The restriction was intended to limit power output to 220 kW (300 hp) although some WRC engines were believed to produce around 250–250 kW (330–340 hp). To limit power, all forced induction cars were fitted with a 34 mm diameter air restrictor before the turbocharger inlet, limiting the airflow to about 10 cubic meters per minute. The base model did not need to have all the characteristics of the WRC car, as evidenced from cars such the Peugeot 206, 307, Citroën Xsara, and Škoda Fabia, which during this period had no road car variant with a turbocharged petrol engine or four-wheel-drive. Unlike the requirements for the preceding Group A cars, manufacturers were no longer required to build "homologation specials" in order to meet approval. The maximum width was set at 1770 mm while front and rear tracks shouldn't exceed 1550 mm. A number of modifications could be made including increasing the engine displacement up to 2.0L, forced induction (including an anti-lag system), addition of four wheel drive, fitment of a sequential gearbox, modified suspension layout and attachment points, aerodynamic body modifications, weight reduction to a minimum of 1230 kg and chassis strengthening for greater rigidity. Regulations 1997–2010 A Subaru Impreza WRC2006 being prepared by Prodriveīetween 19, the regulations mandated that World Rally Cars must have been built upon a production car with a minimum production run of 2500 units. The cars were introduced in 1997 as a replacement for Group A regulations used in the manufacturers' championship, and were replaced by Group Rally1 in 2022. ![]() I did see the transmission and brake numbers, that should help, maybe in controller settings I can set brakes and throttle too no be 100% at slightest touch, maybe that's the steering issue too? Any help would be fantastic, thanks Xilence for the op.A World Rally Car is a racing automobile built to the specific regulations set by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and designed for competition in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Well shouldn't say that, I've been getting better at the racing vs wrecking in the last few hundred hours.Īnyway, it's the numbers on the sliders in basic with no explanation of front to rear, ride height, roll etc. For an idea, Wreckfest is my most played game by about 1700hrs.lol and I still can't drive for sh*t. I've never been a great driver in games to begin with, but this game is on a different level than I'm used to. I'm not looking to get into advanced menu, unless it's a must do, just the basics for now. I've been trying to get things sorted on training tracks, just when I think I've got it, car topples, does a 180° or inevitably finds a wall. But my issue asside from the lead foot (could use help there too, saturation, dead zone, hybrid 1-3), I cannot get the steering to not whip so much, could be same settings as throttle too. I asked this in a discord group, maybe it was my controller finally dying, not sure, i messed with some controller cfg in steam have to reset them first to see. It also seems that the 'Advanced' tab doesn't work yet? Or at least you can't switch to it at this time. Major clarification in game would help on what these values do and auto-shift points should be adjusted with it so semi-automatic still works. Transmission: I have absolutely no idea what this controls, all I know is if I set it to over 2 I have to manually shift even if it is set to semi-automatic and it just constantly red lines non-stop for most the race. 50 sets an equal distribution while 0 is 100% brakes to the rear and 100 is 100% brakes to the front. IMO is should go from 0 - 100, left labeled as rear, right labeled as front and able to adjust it in increments of 5. If anyone knows, that would be appreciated. Haven't experimented enough to see how big of a difference it makes or how it makes the car handle different.īrakes: 30 = 30% of brake power to rear(or front)?, 70 = 70% of brake power to rear(or front)? Not entirely sure on this one either since there isn't any clarification. Not entirely sure which is which but I'm assuming this is how it is. Not sure how this effect body roll, but assumption say the closer to 10 the more body roll you have, but the easier you can go over unlevel terrain.ĭifferential: 0 = Fully Locked?, 10 = Fully Unlocked?. Suspension: 0 = Low/Stiff, 10 = High/Soft. ![]() ![]() A little bit of trial and error tell you some, but not all.Ĭentral (labeling) - Not sure what this means or why it is there? Looking at the car setup before starting the stage, it seems that there wasn't a lot of thought into what exactly each setting does.
